Vision
In accomplishing its mission, CVCSF is guided by the following vision statements that describe how we focus our energies and resources: Our target audience for scholarships are students who:
- Have identifiable, essential personal elements to ultimately succeed, but may have little or no hope for post secondary education
- Are able to envision and articulate an education or career goal
- Face one or more challenges that may prevent them from following through on their goals without external support. These may include, but are not limited to financial, emotional, disability, or lack of family support.
- Are not candidates for more conventional academic, athletic or other forms of scholarship
- Will benefit from seeing others succeed through our scholarship award program
- Require a variety of support and encouragement from the community to advance their career goals
The greater community of CVCSF includes:
- The business community who benefits from an educated workforce
- Donors who wish to support scholarships financially
- Mentors who can assist students through high school to identify and reach their goals
- Clergy, parents, youth workers and others who see a spark of potential in a student who may not have the aspirations or resources to pursue their potential
- Volunteers who oversee the activities of the foundation
- Conval High School, including teachers, guidance counselors, and administration who coach, monitor and inspire students to pursue their potential
